How to Unlock The Last Wish
This quest will be unlocked at the end of the Main Quest Nameless.
Is The Last Wish Missable or Failable?
This quest will fail during the quest Ugly Baby, after getting Uma, or if the player chooses to decline to help Yennifer when meeting her in Larvik.
The Last Wish Walkthrough
| Objectives | |

| 1 | Meet with Yennefer in Larvik, located on the island of Hindersfjall. Agree to help her; otherwise, the quest will fail. |
| 2 | Head to the Larvik harbor with Yennefer. |
| 3 | Get into the boat and take a seat at the bow of the boat. |
| 4 | Dive into the water below the boat. Head into the cave underwater. 3 Drowners are nearby the entrance. |
| 5 | Use your Witcher Sense to find the wreckage at the bottom and examine it. |
| 6 | Swim back to the surface and climb onto the boat. |
| 7 | When the next marker is reached, jump off the boat and dive under the water again. |
| 8 | Swim to the wreckage and use your Witcher Sense to find objects you will need to examine. The objects are a war horn and buckler. |
| 9 | Swim back to the surface and back into the boat. |
| 10 | Dive into the water again. There will be 2 Sirens nearby the wreckage. |
| 11 | Swim towards the wreckage. Use your Witcher Sense to find half of a seal. |
| 12 | Swim back to the surface and climb onto the boat. |
| 13 | Head onto the wreckage, then go down the stairs into the lower deck. |
| 14 | Use your Witcher Sense to investigate the area. Inspect the boots, then the blood next to them. Lift the the fallen bookcase. |
| 15 | Head up to the top deck. |
| 16 | Fight the Djinn. |
How to Romance Yennefer in The Last Wish
You can lock in Yennefer as Geralt's love interest in this quest. At the end of the quest, you will have to choose between two dialogue choices. Choosing [I still love you, too] will lock in Yennefer as your love interest.
On the other hand, choosing [Sorry, but I don't want to be with you anymore] will lock you out of romancing Yennefer. Ignoring or declining to help Yennefer will also lock you out of romancing her.
The Last Wish Tips and Strategies
Fighting Underwater
You can not use your sword or signs underwater, so the only way to fight underwater is by using your crossbow. Tap once to fire a locked-on shot. It will take a few hits against underwater enemies to kill them.
Fighting the Djinn
Attacks
| Icicle Shards | Lifts up shards of ice and throws them around. Deals damage. |
|---|---|
| Lightning Strike | Fires a bolt of lighting that deals damage. |
| Lightning Barrage | Fires bolts of lightning in different directions. |
| Teleport | Teleports to a different location. Deals damage and knockback. |
| Electric Field | Sends out an eletric field that deals damage and knockback. |
Strategy
Use Elementa Oil and Dimeritium Bombs to make the fight easier. While fighting the Djinn, stick to using light attacks and dodge every few hits. When it uses its lightning barrage, keep dodging towards it to hit it, or use Aard to make it stop.
