・If you choose to recruit Casimir, you won't be able to stall the negotiator. However, Casimir will be able to disable the trap door with 4 Arachnomorphs. ・Casimir sides with Edwald (the Stranger). |

・Choosing to recruit Quinto allows you to stall the negotiator, as long as you choose the correct dialogue options. However, Quinto will not disable the trap door with 4 Arachnomorphs. ・Quinto sides with Horst. |
During the mission Open Sesame: The Safecracker, you'll have the choice to recruit Casimir or Quinto. The safecracker that you'll choose will dictate the combat scenario during the heist.

Casimir and Quinto Will Affect the Quest's Final Battle

| Side with Ewald with Quinto as safecracker | Fight the guards, Horst, and Quinto. |
| Side with Ewald with Casimir as safecracker | Fight the guards and Horst. |
| Side with Horst with Quinto as safecracker | Fight Ewald alone. |
| Side with Horst with Casimir as safecracker | Fight Ewald and Casimir. |
Casimir and Quinto will always side with one of the Borsodi brothers. Should you choose to kill a Borsodi brother which Casimir or Quinto sides with, you'll have to kill the Borsodi brother along with whoever sides with them during the end of Open Sesame!.
If you can decide early on which brother to kill, you can use this as a basis to choose either Casimir or Quinto to avoid fighting more enemies at the end of the quest.
Best Choices for the Heist
Choose Quinto for a Quieter Approach
Choosing Quinto provides you with a quieter approach during the heist as you'll be able to stall the negotiator. This allows you to avoid combat for longer, but you'll need to deal with the 4 Arachnomorphs later on.
Choose Casimir if You Want to Avoid Arachnomorphs
Choosing Casimir puts combat into the forefront of the heist as you'll fail to stall the negotiator, prompting you to fight the guards in the area. However, you'll avoid falling into the pit where the Arachnomorphs are located.
