No, You Can Wear Any Mask to the Masquerade Ball
In the quest A Matter of Life and Death, you must wear a mask to the masquerade ball, and you are given three options: the Wolf mask, the Harlequin mask, and the Bird mask. While players may be prompted to choose the Wolf mask for Geralt, you can actually wear any mask to the masquerade ball without any consequences or different outcomes.
