Hearts of Stone released on October 13, 2015 and is the first DLC for The Witcher 3. The story focuses on Olgierd von Everec and reintroduces Gaunter O'Dimm, who initially helps Geralt at the beginning of the game, as well as Shani, a potential romantic interest in the first Witcher game.
Most of the DLC content will take place in the wilds of No Man's Land within Velen and in the alleys of Oxenfurt.

New Enchanting Mechanic
Enchanting Geralt's weapons and armor using runewords and glyphwords was introduced in the Hearts of Stone DLC allowing you to upgrade your equipment with some unique effects.
This can be unlocked after you help the Runewright with the following quests:
Doing so will let you use the Runewright's services at the Upper Mill for enchantments.
New Monsters, Items, and Gwent Cards
As with the new story and content in Hearts of Stone, you'll also find new enemies to fight, new equipment such as armor, as well as even new Gwent cards to play with.

The second DLC released last May 31, 2016, Blood and Wine, takes Geralt to a brand new region, Toussaint, to investigate a series of murders in the war-free land. This expansion features a lot more content than the first one.
New Toussaint Region
The DLC comes with the new Toussaint region far to the south on the world map. It comes with new areas to explore, waymarks, places of power, and much more.

Blood and Wine Quest Walkthroughs
New Mutations Mechanic
Mutation is a new mechanic added with the Blood & Wine DLC where you can experiment with Geralt to boost his witcher capabilities and gain additional skill slots.
The Mutation feature is only unlocked after finishing the quest called Turn and Face the Strange on the Blood & Wine DLC.
New Monsters, Weapons, and Armor
Blood and Wine is an even bigger DLC than the first one and will come with a lot of new armors and weapons to use as well as new monsters to fight. You'll find them all over the new region of Toussaint as you explore around
The Best Weapons, Armors, and Equipment Sets
New Armor Dye Mechanic
The DLC introduces armor dyeing which allows you to change the color of every piece of witcher gear you want using dyes.
These can be obtained in various ways only in the region of Toussaint either by buying them from merchants, crafting them from recipes, or looting them off your enemies.
New Skellige Deck in Gwent
A new type of deck has also been added in the DLC featuring inspiration from the clans and legends of Skellige. Collect the new Gwent cards and use them to beat your opponents.
