Talk to Purah in the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab to start the quest. You can find the lab up the hill east of Hateno Village.

Talk to Purah in Hateno Ancient Tech Lab to start the quest. She will tell you that she can upgrade your slate after you bring her the ancient materials needed. |
2 | Enlarge Gather Ancient Materials |
Ancient Screws, Ancient Shafts, and Ancient Cores are obtained by defeating Guardians. For the Ancient Screws and Ancient Shafts, you can search the inactive Decayed Guardians in Fort Hateno. Ancient Cores are rare drops from patrolling Guardians such as Guardian Stalkers. |

3 | Talk to Purah | Once you've gathered enough of the required ancient materials, bring them back to Purah to have your slate upgraded and complete the quest. |

Your Sheikah Slate will be upgraded during this quest.
Remote Bomb+ increases the damage of your bombs and reduce their cooldown.
Stasis+ can now freeze monsters. The duration depends on the type of monster, which makes it a lot shorter for stronger enemies such as Lynels.
Sheikah Sensor+ now allows tracking of Hyrule Compendium entries.
