This is a list of all DLC (downloadable contents) that has been confirmed for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for the Nintendo Switch. Learn about all the confirmed DLC as well as possible future downloadable contents below!
As of now, there is no DLC announced for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. If in the future any DLC is confirmed by Nintendo to be coming to Age of Calamity, we will update this guide right away.
Note: The following section is merely speculation, and may not reflect the actual content of the DLC, if it does arrive at a later date.
In the previous Hyrule Warriors game, you could play a variation of the adventure map called Master Quest Map. This mode remixes the original map and also adds restrictions for extra difficulty. Similarly in Breath of the Wild, buying the expansion pass gives you access to Master Mode which adds extra difficulty in the game.
We speculate that the upcoming DLC might add a similar mode for replayability, since the current difficulty options don't change too much.
The previous Hyrule Warriors game has a total of 32 playable characters, some of which were added later on as part of an update or as a DLC (with all included in the Definitive Edition release on Switch).
With 18 characters in the base game, it is possible that new characters will be added either as a free update or part of the DLC, and may come from the world of Breath of the Wild. Or perhaps, like the first Hyrule Warriors, we may see the return of characters from other Zelda games, or even original characters.
After all, who wouldn't want to play as Fierce Deity Link or Sheik in some kind of bonus mode?
The previous Hyrule Warriors game included additional costumes that the playable characters can wear. These are usually attires seen in other Zelda games.
The upcoming DLC might include attires that Link can wear from the previous Zelda games, or even costumes for other playable characters, since most attires are simply armor for Link from BotW.
In the previous Hyrule Warriors game, there are 5 story episodes, which add additional lore to the game, and a Boss Challenge mode. We speculate that the DLC might add more story chapters or even a separate challenge mode for seasoned players.

At the very least, I want to see the option of either getting the Zelda-style control setup, or being able to remap the controls without having to change it in the system. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get used to the standard controls. The Zelda style is hardwired into my brain.
