This guide will show you how long will it take you to beat Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn how many hours you will spend to complete the Story Battles, as well as how long it will take to 100% Age of Calamity!
List of Contents
The new Hyrule Warriors game will take most players about 10 to 15 hours of play time if they decided to mow through the Story Battles alone. The player's activity on each battle, such as capturing every single outpost, defeating all the strong monsters on the map, and finding the hidden Korok Seeds and treasure chests, also affects the total play time.
Story Walkthrough: List of Chapters
Challenges are considered as the side quests of Age of Calamity. More Challenges will be unlocked as you progress through the main story and after you complete specific Challenges. The play time for completing all of them might look short but unlocking these Challenges might further increase the estimated time.
Even if you finished the Story Battles, the materials that you obtain won't be enough to supply the needs of the entirety of Hyrule. The actual play time that you'll need to complete all the Quests depends on whether RNG is on your side or not. If you equip weapons with skills that increases material drop rate, you can hope for less grinding time needed for the materials.
If you are a completionist and are planning on 100-percenting Age of Calamity, it might take you more than 50+ hours of play time, or more if you are playing on a higher difficulty, to get everything.
The list includes all Story Battles, Challenges, Quests, getting the secret ending, and maxing out all your characters (hopefully mastering their combos). Basically, aim for meeting the needs of the people of each region to 100% complete the game.
If you plan to spend extra time grinding levels to reach the level cap, and also grinding to upgrade everyone's weapons, you may easily spend another 10 extra hours or so!

It also depends on the difficulty. Higher difficulty means it takes more time to chip down health of enemies. I played on very high and it took me around 80 hours to complete, this included all chest, korok seeds, side quest, upgrades and 100% every region. For the last korok seeds I even used a guide, if I tried to find the last ones myself it would have taken even longer.
