Use the Spiked Armour
The Spiked Armour returns half of the damage taken to the enemy. The Goregoyle deals massive physical damage, so this can efficiently mitigate the damage you receive and deal it back at the same time.

Increase Your Defense with Faerie Foil
Goregoyle is a heavy physical damage dealer. If you have the Faerie Foil in your inventory you use this item to increase your defence.
Cop Out to Mitigate Damage
You can also use Cop Out to mitigate your damage taken by parrying its attacks. However, there is a chance that the parry may fail, so keep an eye out for your health and recover when needed.
Cop Out Effect and Level Learned
Counter Fizzle with Items or Abilities
Goregoyle can also cast Kafizzle, which seals your ability to cast magic. Without magic you wont be able to cast any recovery spells, so it's best to remove this status ailment as soon as you can.
You can use the recovery item Unsealant to deal with the ailment. If you don't have this item, use the skill Defending Champion to increase your defense to hold out until the seal wears off.

Charge Your Attacks to Deal More Damage
You can target Murdergoyle's weakness by using Kacrackle Slash, Lightning Slash, or Lightning Thrust. To deal better damage, use Muster Strength to increase your attack power.

To ensure that you can always have your turn before the enemy equip the Agility Ring to increase your speed.

| Kaswoosh | Deals physical damage and lowers your Defence. |
