After obtaining the Magic Key from the Warlock of Doorlocks in Rimuldar, proceed to the Faerie Village to obtain the Soul Sigil.
Upon obtaining the Soul Sigil, you should be able to activate Souped-Up Skills as long as you meet its conditions.
How to Get the Soul Sigil and Effects

One activation condition of Souped-Up Skills is to have less than half of your health. In combat, when the menu text turns yellow, that means your health is under 50 percent.
Attempting to activate Souped-Up Skills without meeting this condition will just have the protagonist cast the selected Spell or Ability normally.
| Skill | Effect |
|---|---|
| Restores MP after each turn for a while. | |
| Gradually Restores HP |
Alternatively, players can cast Focus Pocus or Reheal and be able to activate Souped-Up Skills while under its effects.
This activation method provides less risk as you won't have to cut down your health, which could potentially get the protagonist killed in the process.

If you have Princess Gwaelin with you, and you've completed the events at the Shrine of Rain, she will be able to support you in battle. This is the only way to activate the Souped-Up version of Gigaslash, Gigagash, so it's highly recommended to bring the Princess with you for the entirety of the story.
How to Rescue Princess Gwaelin

The selected skill will be highlighted green upon holding the Souped-Up Skill button.
After meeting any one of the conditions listed above, select the desired Spell or Ability and hold the Souped-Up Skill button to activate it.
You can also hold the Souped-Up Skill button after selecting the Spell or Ability and before the skill is casted. However, it is recommended to do it from the menu to guarantee the window of activating it.
Souped-Up Skills are powered up versions of Spells and Abilities that can activated upon meeting certain conditions.
These skills are powerful and are recommended against bosses, mobs of monsters, but will require more MP from the protagonist.
