Purchased from shops and found in treasure chests, weapons are the primary source of the Attack character stat in the game. Combined with the Strength stat, Attack helps determine the physical damage dealt in combat.
A weapon's Attack stat is taken alongside the Hero's Strength stat to determine physical damage. Some weapons, like the Fire Blade, have special properties.

Erdrick’s Sword Has the Highest Attack Stat
Erdrick’s Sword is the best weapon in the game. It has the highest Attack stat among all weapons. However, since the weapon can only be obtained later on in the story, you can opt for other weapons first.

Fire Blade Has the Second Highest Attack Stat and Casts Sizz
Fire Blade is a weapon you can equip while you still don't have Erdrick’s Sword. It has the second highest Attack stat and also casts Sizz during battles.

Steel Broadsword can also be a substitute weapon while you still don't have Erdrick’s Sword. The weapon has a lower Attack stat than Fire Blade but is cheaper to get.
