How to Rescue Princess Gwaelin
Defeat the Green Dragon in Quagmire Cave
Princess Gwaelin is located in Quagmire Cave, guarded by the Green Dragon. Their exact location is at Basement 1, but you'll the Magic Key to access the path that goes through Basement 2 to get there.
You must defeat the Green Dragon to free Princess Gwaelin. We recommend being level 21 or higher before attempting the battle, so level up and improve your gear before battling the Green Dragon.
Return to Tantegel After Rescuing
After rescuing the Princess, return to Tantegel Castle to reunite Princess Gwaelin with the King. Returning the princess to Tantegel Castle will also reward you with the Princess' Necklace, which allows her words to reach Hero wherever he happens to be.

Should You Return Gwaelin to Tantegel?
No Since She Supports You in Battle
Do not return the Princess to the Tantegel Castle, as she will assist you with further battles. Although she does not necessarily fight with you, she gives you company and occasionally buffs you during fights.

Get the Sun Stone Before Rescuing Her
Before you go rescue Princess Gwaelin, you'll want to get the Sunstone from the basement of Tantegel Castle first. If you don't do this, you'll be forced to return to the castle and leave her behind before you can get the Sunstone.

Will Miss Out on Exclusive and Alternate Cutscenes
Having Princess Gwaelin with you will also unlock exclusive and alternate cutscenes. If you want to experience more of what the story has to offer, it's recommended to bring her with you so you won't miss out on these interactions.
