You will need to rescue Princess Gwaelin and escort her to Tantegel Castle so that she can be delivered to the King. You will be given the Princess Necklace for your effort, which can help clear the fog in Weirdwood. |
|---|---|
| 2 |
You also have the option of not escorting Princess Gwaelin to Tantegel Castle and just proceeding straight towards Weirdwood. You can dispel the fog with Princess Gwaelin accompanying you through the woods. |
| 3 | ![]() Proceed towards the south of the Map to reach Weirdwood. Use Zoom to travel to the Citadel of the Monarch of Medals, then continue until you've gone past the bridge and reach Weirdwood. |
| 4 | ![]() Once you've reached Weirdwood, roam around the area. At this point, the story will not progress until you've managed to get "lost" in the area. It's a bit important to simulate being lost, so it is recommended to roam around the area twice. From there, proceed east of the map to initiate a cutscene. |
| 5 |
Once you've finished the cutscene and cleared the fog out of Weirdwood, the map of the current area can now be viewed clearly. Do note that some items like Siren Sword and Slippery Sap can be obtained on the first map. |
| 6 |
After entering the second map and continuing a bit further, you will encounter the Mirage Bosses. Once you've defeated them, you will be transported to the Faerie Village, which triggers a cutscene. Finish the cutscene to get access to the second map. |
Do note that the cutscene that plays out during Weirdwood will vary depending on whether you have the Princess or not. There are no gameplay changes from your choice, and it will only affect how the cutscene will be shown.

The Mirages cast spells that can deal high damage to unsuspecting players, so it is recommended that you cast Magic Barrier on your first turn to reduce damage incurred from its spells.
List of All Spells and Abilities
It is also recommended to use the Skysplitter skill, which is the souped-up version of Gust Slash, to dish out damage against them. The attack is ideal, since all Mirages are placed in a row which covers the range of the attack.
Do note that you will need the Soul Sigil and your HP below 50% in order to use the Skysplitter skill.
