There are a total of 22 Scrolls in Dragon Quest 1 HD-2D Remaster. Specifically, there are 12 Spell Scrolls and 10 Ability Scrolls. Make sure to use them as soon as you get one so that you don't forget them in your inventory.

Scrolls are one-time use items used to learn spells and abilities outside of leveling up. This provides variety and flexibility on how you handle enemy encounters.
Scrolls can be found in treasure chests, can be exchanged using Mini Medals, or through exploration.
