Is There Post-Game Content?

No Post Game Content

Dragon Quest 1 does not have a post-game content, nor does it allow you to create a clear save file after defeating the final boss.

Hence, it is highly advised that you save your game before pursuing the final boss stage. This will allow you to reload your file and continue the exploration of the game even after finishing the main story.
