Antidotal Herbs can also cure poison when used.
How to Get Antidotal Herb and Effects
| Type |
|
|---|---|
| MP Cost | 5 |
| Effect | |
| Prevents a group of enemies from using magic. | |
Most enemies will cast spells to inflict ailments upon the Hero. Prevent them from doing so by casting Fizzle! The spell seals away their magic, allowing you to fight without worry.
Fizzle Effect and Level Learned

If the Hero's been put to sleep, they will automatically wake up after a few turns. However, the protagonist is completely defenceless while asleep, and they might die before they even get the chance to wake up.
Paralysis remains after a battle ends but will be cleared as you walk around on the overworld. Watch out, though! Encountering enemies while paralyzed will start the battle with you unable to act! Consider using Holy Protection or Holy Water to temporarily ward off enemies while you recover.

If you accidentally put on a piece of cursed equipment, you won't be able to manually unequip it. To remove it, you will need to go to Church and request Benediction from the priest.
How to Remove Cursed Equipment
| Equipment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Yggdrasil Dress Coat | Lowers the chance of Confusion, Fizzle, and MP drain. |
| Ring of Clarity | Protects against Confusion. |
| Mark of Erdrick | Protects against Instant Death effects. |
| Erdrick's Helm | Resists Sleep, Confusion, Dazzle, Paralysis, and Instant Death. |
| Full Moon Ring | Protects against Paralysis. |
Some gear items also protect the Hero from ailments. Wearing these can keep away some of the worst effects, like Confusion and Paralysis.
