Fairy Tonic Effects The only real effect the Fairy Tonic has is to heal a lot of hearts. Unlike the Fairies used for ingredients, it cannot activate on its own to revivie you if you die. However, while Fairies "only" heal you 5 hearts after reviving you, a basic Fairy Tonic heals 12 hearts, so pausing just before you die and drinking one is highly recommended.
