 Death |
Character is knocked out. Demons cannot be summoned, and if Raidou is dead, it's game over. |
 Seal |
Demons cannot be summoned, and Raidou cannot summon Demons until the battle is over. |
 Stone |
Insta-killed if hit by a Physical attack. Persists after battle ends. |
 Charm |
Demons can take a random action, and Raidou has a chance of not acting. |
 Confuse |
Demons can take a random action, and Raidou's movement controls are reversed. |
 Rage |
Deal 1.5x damage, but receive 2x damage. |
 Mute |
Prevents Combat Skills, and Raidou can't control Demons or use Spirit Slash. |
 Poison |
Deals a fixed amount of damage over time. |
 Sleep |
Can't take actions and guaranteed Crit if attacked, but heals over time. |
 Dizzy |
Unable to act. |
 Bind |
Stunned if hit by weakness. |
 Burn |
On fire and is stunned if hit by weakness. |
 Freeze |
Frozen and is stunned if hit by weakness. |
 Shock |
Shocked and is stunned if hit by weakness. |
 Impede |
Trapped by wind and is stunned if hit by weakness. |
 Zeal |
Deal increased damage and reduce damage taken. Nullifies most other status effects. |
There are a total of 16 status ailments in RAIDOU Remastered, all of which can give Raidou and his demon allies an advantage in combat or could decrease their chances of winning if used against them by enemies and bosses.
How to Cure Status Ailments
Cast Patra or Use Items
If you want to cure a status effect, you can either cast the Recovery Skill Patra or use one of the items that removes the respective ailment. Also, as a note, there are Passive Skills that can reduce the chance of getting affected by ailments, or even straight up negate all statuses.
Use Demons That Nullify Mind
If you want to avoid dealing with ailments entirely, you can use demons that Nullify Mind. This is especially useful against bosses that rely heavily on afflicting status effects, and it'll make the fight a lot more manageable.
Apply Zeal on Allies
You can also make allies immune from status effects by applying Zeal on them. This Summoner Skill is unlocked from the Kiyotsune sword, which falls under the Axe tree of weapons.
What are Status Ailments?
Negative Effects on a Character
Status Ailments are negative effects that reduce the character's effectiveness in battle. There are multiple effects that can range from taking damage over time, taking increased damage, or even being unable to act.
Zeal is the Only Status Ailment Buff
Zeal is also listed under Status Ailments, but this provides a positive effect when applied rather than a negative one.
