Get Books from Battles and Demons
Skill Books can be obtained through enemy drops when using the Art of Confinement. However, you can only obtain Skill Books of skills that the Demon learns, so make sure you do your research before confining an enemy.
How to Confine and Recruit Demons
Check-In with Max Loyalty Demons
Besides Confinement, your own demons may give you books after they've reached max Loyalty. Check your menu often so that you don't miss any speech bubbles, which signifies you can use Check-In to chat with a Demon.
Story and Case File Rewards
You can get Skill Books by progressing through the main story and completing Case Files. These quests often reward you with valuable skills for clearing objectives or defeating specific enemies.
Exploration and Fast Travel Loot
Some Skill Books can be found scattered across the map as shiny objects during regular exploration. You can also find loot while navigating the map view in Fast Travel mode, so keep an eye out even when quickly moving between areas.

You can purchase basic Skill Books directly from the shop Konnou-Ya. However, they only offer books for Agi, Bufu, Zio, and Zan, and they don't sell any other higher-levelled books.

To use a skill book, open your inventory and select a Skill Book to use from your Consumable Items menu. Then choose any demon that you want to learn the skill.
Skill Mastery Requires Multiple Books
Each skill has a mastery gauge shown below its name, which increases with repeated book use. Full mastery makes the skill inheritable during fusion. The number of uses required depends on the skill’s type.

Auto-Master Naturally Learned Skills
A demon automatically learns and masters a skill by leveling up, unless you use a Skill Book, using a Skill Book may prompt you to remove the existing skill and replace it and master it.
