The fastest way to access the fast travel menu is to press the fast travel button. This immediately opens up the Express Streetcar menu, as long as you're in an area that allows you to fast travel.

Alternatively, you can also select the Express Streetcar option in the Investigation Menu. While slightly slower, this is still an efficient way of accessing the fast travel menu.

Besides the methods mentioned above, you can also walk to an area's exit and head to a red point on the world map. This will open the Express Streetcar menu, allowing you to fast travel to where you need to go.

New fast travel destinations unlock as you explore more of the city. For example, Shin-Sekai becomes available starting Episode 3 after you've progressed far enough in the story.

Each fast travel or streetcar ride usually costs 80 Yen per stop. Occasionally, rides between certain areas are free, but fares can increase based on the distance travelled.

Once you've progressed to Episode 10 and completed Case File No. 36, "HERE, FOR YOU", you will receive a Streecar Pass that allows you to fast travel for free, regardless of how far your destination is located.

To unlock the ability to fast travel, you will need to progress through Episode 1 until you need to do a Solo Investigation. Once that section's done, you'll now be able to use Express Streetcars.
