Certain demons come with unique Investigation Skills, which are abilities they can use while exploring the overworld.
These skills let you interact with the environment in special ways, like eavesdropping on people, sniffing out hidden items, or unsealing locked paths.

Investigation Skills are special Demon Skills used outside of battle. While most demons are built for a scrap, some come packing handy talents that help you sniff out secrets, unlock hidden areas, or gather clues during your cases.
These skills let you interact with NPCs, objects, and suspicious spots in the environment, often revealing things that would stay buried to an ordinary person's eye.

As you explore towns, back alleys, shrines, and dungeons, you’ll run into people, objects, or odd little details in the environment that seem just a little off. Maybe someone hints at a strange smell nearby. Maybe there’s a locked door that doesn’t budge. Maybe a nervous NPC is clearly hiding something. That’s your cue.
Whenever you sense something’s up, make sure you’ve got a demon summoned with the right skill for the job. Certain spots will give you a prompt, while others might require a little detective’s intuition. If a place feels suspicious, chances are one of your demons can do something about it.

Not every skill works everywhere, so it’s smart to rotate your demons and see what each one can do. Some Investigation Skills are even vital for progressing the story, unlocking side quests, or tracking down rare relics.
When in doubt, experiment. That’s half the job when you’re Raidou Kuzunoha.
