This Case File can be unlocked in Episode 1.
Start this quest by heading to the Nameless Shrine and talking to the Fox statue on the left. It will have a marker on its head.

To complete this quest, you’ll need to purge a total of 5 Aril Rifts. If you’ve already cleared the Purge the Aril Rifts Case File, you should have taken out 3 of them by now.
Then the other 2 are located in Daidouji Residence, one for each floor.
