Raidou Remastered - Remaster Comparison and All Changes
There are a ton of new changes and improvements introduced in RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. Check out a list of the major enhancements introduced in this version of the game here!

RAIDOU Remastered Changes

Improved Graphics

Enhanced Graphics
As with most video game remasters, the graphics have now been overhauled to meet the standards of most modern gaming platforms and audiences. It also doesn't stray too far from the original, letting new players experience the game closely to how it was in the old version.

Added Voiceovers

Voice Overs
To help enhance the sense of immersion, the remastered version now has voiceovers in both English and Japanese. This helps players get absorbed into the world of Raidou and improve their experience while exploring the world.

Ability to Save Anywhere

Quicksave
In case you need to stop playing for any reason, you can now save anywhere by making a quicksave. However, this is only temporary, and you'll still need to make a proper save at the save locations scattered throughout the game.

As a note, there is also a new auto-save feature, meaning your save is still safe in a scenario where your game accidentally shuts off, like from a power outage for example.

Easy Access to Objectives

Check Objectives
Instead of having to travel all the way back to the detective agency, there is now a menu option that allows you to easily view your journal and check your objectives.

Overhauled Combat System

Revamped Combat
To bring the gameplay up to more modern standards, the combat system has been overhauled to include a ton of new elements. This ranges from using stealth attacks to initiate combat, the ability to lock on to enemies, having two demons in battle, and many more!

This change aims to enhance the battling experience, while simultaneously keeping the feel of how it used to play in the original game.

Fast Travel to Visited Locations

Fast Travel
Considering that the world is quite large, the remastered version has implemented a fast travel system, that utilizes the game's Express Streetcars. However, you will need to have previously visited the location and need to pay a set amount of yen in order to fast travel.

Revamped List of Demons

New Demons
A ton of games have been released under the Shin Megami Tensei banner since the game's original release, and there are a lot of new demons that have been introduced to the series. These demons have also found their way into this game's roster of allies, letting you play with around 50+ new summons.

Register Multiple Copies of a Demon

Premium Devil Chart
One big feature that isn't present in most other SMT titles is the Premium Devil Chart, which lets you save different versions of the same demon. This means that, for example, you can have an optimized Jack Frost build saved, while also having a separate Jack Frost that can be summoned for fusion fodder if need be.
