This is your quick guide on combat mechanics in RAIDOU Remastered. Learn all the basics of combat and how to improve as a Devil Summoner here!
List of Contents

Whenever possible, always start an encounter with a Stealth Strike. Landing a Stealth Strike on the enemy gives you a chance to enter the battle with the enemies stunned for a while.
This gives the player the best advantage of dealing massive amounts of damage at the start. Stealth Strikes can also insta-kill weaker enemies if you're a significantly higher level.
It's best to weave in both Light and Heavy attacks in battle. Light Attacks allow Raidou to steal MAG from the enemy and build up his gauge for him and his demons to use.
While it won't do a lot of damage to the enemy, it's main purpose is to give Raidou a chance to recharge his MAG without using items or skills.
Once your MAG gauge is filled, use Heavy attacks to deal more damage. When using heavy attacks, your sword will glow a bright green and you will have a different set of move compared to Light Attacks.
Your Heavy attack moveset will also differ depending on what weapon-type you currently have equipped. Sword Heavy attacks will look different from Spear Heavy attacks and Axe Heavy attacks. Choose the weapon-type that best suits your build!
When your MAG gauge is full as well, use your Summoner Skills against the enemy or to support yourself. Use your elemental signs to hit enemy weaknesses or use Magnetize to gain back MAG quickly.
Raidou has a variety of Summoner Skills that are unique and all serve to make him stronger so don't forget to tailor your skills before battle!
With big boss enemies with big shield, Raidou and his demons must break their Weakness Shield first by using moves and skills they are weak to. This gauge is usually denoted by a yellow heart near the boss enemy.
Once the circle around the heart has been depleted, they will be stunned for a while, giving Raidou a chance to unload all his powerful moves on the enemy.
List of All Skills and Effects

When in need for a specific skill from your allied demons, head over to the menu and select Command. This allows you to manually command a demon to use a skill on the enemy or for the team.
Use this for healing when in a pinch, or to buff the team for the battle and debuff the enemy.

When one of your allied demons dies in battle or when one of them do not possess skills that are strong against the enemy, do not hesitate to use the Summon command to summon a new demon from your tubes.
While offense is always good, learn to dodge and move back in cases of really damaging attacks or stage wide attacks.
Using your Devil's Feint by running towards the enemy and quickly hitting your Dodge button, will allow you to dodge their frontal attacks and continue doing your attacks.
In cases of hard to dodge attacks, you will be warned by bought Goutou and a red exclamation point near the enemy that you must safeguard your demons.
Safeguarding your demons will quickly make them invincible from any attacks but also makes them unable to attack the enemy.
Use Safeguard to tuck your demons near you when an enemy releases a big attack!
When Raidou times his dodge correctly with the enemy, you will be given a chance to use the Devil's Bane. This is a counter-attack that deals tons of damage against the enemy done after dodging or stunning the enemy.
This action is also directly tied to the trophy, Legendary Kuzunoha, so take the chance to use Devil's Bane when prompted!
Using your attacks rapidly during battle will also give you Spirit points that grows per consecutive strike you do. Spirit points build up in your Spirit Slash gauge where, when filled up, you can unleash a devastating attack on all enemies on field.
When players are faced with tons of enemies, like when battling in the Training Hall, using your Spirit Slash at the correct moment can destroy all your enemies all at one!
