This is a guide to the DLC Side Quest: EX Treasure: Royal Guard Rumors, in the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Read on to learn how to start the quest and where to find all pieces of the Royal Guard Set.

To start the quest, head to the Riverside Stable near Wahgo Katta Shrine. The journal is sitting on one of the right side tables.

1 | Enlarge Head to Hyrule Castle Library |
Head to the Hyrule Castle Library. You can get there easily from the shrine by heading up the cave path up to the library hall behind a moveable bookcase. Nearest Shrine: ・Saas Ko'sah Shrine |

Head up to the second level of the Library hall. You can get up there by using Revali's Gale or using the metal blocks to scale up the wall. | |

Head into the room with a lone Moblin and climb the stairs to head up the upper hallways. | |
Enlarge Destroy the Breakable Wall |
Head to the very end of the upper hallway and destroy the breakable wall on the left side using a Remote Bomb. | |

A Lizalfos is guarding the stairs down the Guard Chambers. Defeat or run past it and head down. | |

As soon as you enter the chambers, head to the right with the Lizalfos. They are actually guarding the EX Chest. Defeat the Lizalfos or use Majora's Mask so that they don't attack you. |

The second floor of the Sanctum is filled with corrupted Sheikah wires and Malice. Head to the opposite side of the room wihere the EX Chest is sitting in front of a Knight's Statue. | |

Collecting all three pieces nets you the Royal Guard Set. While it's arguably one of the more visually appealing sets in the game, it only provides medicore defense and cannot be enhanced or dyed.
Wearing all pieces of the set gives Link a bonus to his Charge Attacks. It's a good armor to use early in the game, especially if you find yourself surrounded by many enemies.

1st Update | You read Super Rumor Mill EX: Volume 2! According to this special issue, there are rumors of an item that lets you instantly travel to a location of your choosing. The treasure chest containing this item is supposedly located in northeast Akkala, hidden beneath a labyrinth. If you believe the rumors, try to find the labyrinth and locate the treasure chest! |
Quest Clear | You managed to reach Lomei Labyrinth Island and found the Travel Medallion in a secret underground room! Just as the rumors said, the Travel Medallion lets you travel instantly to whatever location you've placed it at. It seems believing those rumors paid off! |
