You only need to complete 3 specific objectives in order to get the three beans needed and progress through the quest. We recommend doing the other activities in the Land of a Thousand Fables before doing the three specific objectives because you can no longer do them once you leave the Land of a Thousand Fables.

You can complete these 3 specific objectives in any order you wish. Once you are able to get the three magic beans, the quest will automatically update.

To know the other activites you can do in the Land of a Thousand Fables see our Tips and Strategies below.

Objectives
5 Use Aard on the house of the Three Little Pigs and defeat them to get the Blue Magic Bean.
6 Retreive Red Riding Hood's Red Hood and defeat the Big Bad Wolf to get the Red Magic Bean.
7 Climb up Longlock's tower and defeat her wraith to get the Yellow Magic Bean.
8 Meetup with Syanna and plant the Magic Beans.
9 Defeat the Cloud Giant and speak with Syanna.
10 Follow Syanna and jump in the well.

Choices

Romancing Syanna

Witcher 3 Romance Syanna

Right after defeating the Cloud Giant, you will have a conversation with Syanna and she will tell you that you can still be useful to her. You are given a choice to romance her or not in this quest.

Picking the first option will let her have her way with you and start the romance scene.

The second option will make you decline her offer and continue on with the quest.

NOTE: Romancing her does not affect any of the other major romance options in the game.

Beyond Hill and Dale... Tips and Strategies

There are a number of activities that are limited to the Land of a Thousand Fables. If you finish this quest without encountering any of these activities, you will be never be able to get or do them later. There are more activities to that are not shown below, but the activities that are not shown are either not a part of the main objectives or missable items.

Talk to the girl who sells flint

Witcher 3 Optional Syanna

When you talk to the girl who sells flint, you learn that she has the ribbon that was once Syanna's ribbon. In order to get the ribbon you will have to beat her in a game of gwent, or you could pay her 500 crowns to get the ribbon.

NOTE: Whether or not you get this ribbon will heavily affect the future events that happen during the main quest.

Duck, Duck, Goosed!

Witcher 3 Optional Goose

In order to do this activity, you will need to pick up the notice on the notice board near the girl who sells flint. Once you pick up the notice, the Secondary Quest: Duck, Duck, Goosed! will start.

In this secondary quest you will need to track down a goose and free it by defeating Readbeard and his fellow bandits. You will receive a Golden Egg that you can consume for a extra skill point for finishing this quest.
