The Type of a Monster will determine what Oil it is weak against. For example, Monsters of the Necrophage Type will receive 10% extra damage from Swords coated in Necrophage oil.

The best way to fight the Cloud Giant is to maneuver around the giant piles of metal that have been charged by lightning strikes. If the Cloud Giant attacks you and hits a charge giant metal pile, they will get severly electrocuted allowing you to hit it with multiple attacks before it recovers.
You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Ogroid oil to deal bonus damage to them.
