Item Rarity in Titan Quest 2 is divided into five types that are separated by color. Find out about the different Item Rarity Types and their differences here!
| Rarity | Description |
|---|---|
Epic (Purple) |
Epic items are usually dropped by Bosses and Elite enemies; these usually have five to six affixes. |
Infrequent (Green) |
Infrequent items are special cases, affixes can vary anywhere between two to six affixes and one infrequent innate modifier. These items frop seldomly but not as rare as Epics. |
Rare (Gold) |
Rare items are harder to find, these usually have three to four affixes. |
Magical (Blue) |
Magical items usually have one to two affixes. |
Common (Gray) |
Common items have no affixes and are the most common drops at the start of the game. |

You can recognize an item's rarity by the color of its border. The main difference between rarity types is their number of random affixes and how hard they are to find in the game.

Defeating bosses and elite enemies gives you a higher chance of dropping rarer items. After defeating them the first time, you can use the Shrine of Ares to respawn bosses to fight again.

Though risky, there is a chance to get higher rarity items when you gamble with the Scavenger. This will require a significant amount of gold, as the chances are randomized.
