How to Unlock The Queen of the Mountain
Complete The Hunt Begins and Defend Proti Village

The Queen of the Mountain
unlocks after completing The Hunt Begins
. However, you'll need to pass through Proti Village and complete the quest Defend Proti Village
in order to access the ruins passage.

1. Reach the Gryphon's Nest
After defending Proti Village, continue to the gryphon’s nest. You will have to pass through the Ruins Passage to reach the nest.
2. Find the Ruins Passage
You can access the Ruins Passage by climbing the side of a mountain near the center of the map. At the entrance of the Ruins will be another Ancient Shrine.
3. Receive the Blessing From the Shrine
Approach the Shrine, and you will need to defeat a horde of enemies to get your second Mastery. Choose carefully, since this will have a big impact on how you will be playing the game moving forward.

Optional: Raid the Gryphon Cult Camp
On your way to the gryphon’s nest, you will be passing by the Gryphon Cult Camp; you have the option to raid that base for EXP or to go straight to the Gryphon.
4. Defeat the Gryphon (Level 8)

Climb up the Upper Cliffs to reach the Gryphon’s Nest and defeat Appollonia the Terrible. This is a fairly straightforward fight, make sure to dodge her three main wind attacks to avoid taking damage and getting slowed.
