The quest will automatically trigger upon approaching Erana Ruins, where you'll hear a mysterious voice beckoning your attention. Approaching it will lead you to a statue of a Hippokampos which you may commune with.

Titan Quest 2 Stone Poet Talk to the Magical Hippokampos Statue

Walk deeper into the Erana Ruins, where you'll come across a statue of a Hippokampos. Interact with the statue and listen to the poem in recites, then prepare yourself for a fearsome battle with a horde of King Crabs!

2. Kill the Summoned Crabs (Level 16)

Much like their open-world counterparts, the summoned level 16 King Crabs in this arena will try to close in for melee attacks, while others strike from a distance using auto-locking water spouts.

Fortunately, these enemies don’t deal significant damage, especially if you're a level or two higher. AoE attacks are ideal if you're overwhelmed by their numbers, but overall, they shouldn’t pose too much of a threat.

3. Defeat the Hippokampos (Level 16-18)

The Hippokampos springs to life once all summoned Crabs are defeated and begins its assault with powerful water and lightning attacks that can be deadly if you're underleveled.

Dodge its frequent AoE strikes and ensure you have high Elemental resistance before engaging. If the fight feels overwhelming, aim to reach at least level 18 to make it more manageable. Defeating the Hippokampos concludes the quest and rewards you with a myriad of valuable items!
