Titan Quest 2 - Best Passive and Active Skills to Unlock

This is a list of the best Active and Passive Skills you can pick up in Titan Quest 2. Check out what the best Active and Passive Skills to invest in are for your playthrough in this guide!

Best Active Skills

Rank Skill Name
1 Ice Shards
2 Sweeping Strike
3 Battlefield Awareness
4 Earth Enchantment
5 Storm Nimbus

1. Storm - Ice Shards

Skill Effect
Ice ShardsIce Shards ・Fire 5 ice shards in a cone dealing 6-10 Cold Damage each. Additional hits against the same enemy deals 80% less Damage.
・On use gain Overwhelm while you have an Overwhelm skill equipped.

The early damaging Skill recommended from the Storm Mastery is the Ice Shards ability. This is a low cost, quick cooldown Skill that you can spam to pump out damage in the early game.

It can also be modified to do even more damage while still remaining relatively light on Energy, as well as retaining its spammability. This allows it to scale quite well as you progress into the game.

2. Warfare - Sweeping Strike

Skill Effect
Sweeping StrikeSweeping Strike ・Sweep in a circle dealing 120% Weapon Damage in a 4m radius around you.
・Requires Melee.

For the Warfare Mastery's early game, the Sweeping Strike Skill is recommended for its spammability and good AoE damage. You can quickly clear out hordes of enemies with a few Casts of this skill, allowing you to focus on tougher enemies in combat.

The Whirlwind Modifier gets a special notice, as investing into this allows players access to very consistent damage with great AoE that scales well into later portions of the game.

3. Warfare - Battlefield Awareness

Skill Effect
Battlefield AwarenessBattlefield Awareness ・Emit an Aura with a 18m radius.
・Aura grants you and allies +15 Armor.

Battlefield Awareness is a Warfare Skill that provides a boost to Armor, making it one of the few Defensive abilities in the game currently. The Armor bonus is well-appreciated, and can easily slot into any build due to its universal benefits.

4. Earth - Earth Enchantment

Skill Effect
Earth EnchantmentEarth Enchantment ・Emit an Aura with a 18m radius.
・Aura grants you and allies 20% increased Fire Damage.
・Aura grants you and allies 20% increased Physical Damage.

Earth Enchantment is from the Earth Mastery, and provides a boost to Fire and Physical damage while active. This is a must-have for any build that focuses on these damage types, as it will buff your damage output significantly.

5. Storm - Storm Nimbus

Skill Effect
Storm NimbusStorm Nimbus ・Emit an Aura with a 18m radius.
・Aura grants you and allies 20% increased Cold Damage.
・Aura grants you and allies 20% increased Lightning Damage.

Storm Nimbus is the Storm tree's version of an aura buff, that increases Cold and Lightning damage when used. This skill is great to use if your build leans heavily on either of these damage types, for a significant boost to your damage output.

Best Passive Skills

Rank Skill Name
1 Arcane Influx
2 Accuracy
3 Storm Protection
4 Arcane Abundance
5 Earth Barrier

1. Storm - Arcane Influx

Skill Effect
Arcane InfluxArcane Influx ・3% increased Energy Regeneration
・1% increased Energy

The Arcane Influx from the Storm tree helps players cast more Skills by boosting your Energy Regen and Energy Cap. This is a vital passive to have, especially for builds that focus on using Skills a lot as it helps keep those Skills active.

2. Rogue - Accuracy

Skill Effect
AccuracyAccuracy ・6% increased Damage
・10% increased Critical Hit Chance

The Rogue Skill Accuracy is a great generic damage increase that boosts both your Damage and your Critical Hit Chance. Any class with the Rogue Mastery will appreciate the simple, yet potent offensive boost of this Passive.

3. Storm - Storm Protection

Skill Effect
Storm ProtectionStorm Protection ・7% Increased Barrier
・5% increased Barrier Conversion Rate
・+2% Glancing Projectile Hit Chance

Storm Projection is from the Storm Mastery, and increases the potency of the player's Barriers while also providing a small chance to receive a Glancing Hit from enemy projectiles.

Both these passives work in conjuction to shore up your defenses, and by buffing Barrier specifically, players can more proactively prevent damage instead of being forced to react with Health Potions when in combat.

4. Earth - Arcane Abundance

Skill Effect
Arcane AbundanceArcane Abundance ・ +14 Maximum Energy
・2% increased Maximum Energy

For the Earth Mastery, the Arcane Abundance Passive Skill is a great passive to pick up first due to the Energy increase. You use Energy to cast Skills, and having more of it means being able to cast more before needing to recharge.

5. Earth - Earth Barrier

Skill Effect
Earth BarrierEarth Barrier ・7% increased Barrier
・2% increased Armor

Earth Barrier from the Earth tree increases the player's Barrier and Armor, providing very universal defensive buffs that any build using the Earth Mastery will appreciate.

Both stats greatly increase your survivability in combat, which is needed when larger hordes of enemies and tougher bosses are encountered.
