The Hunt Begins

 Enter the Mysterious Cave After finishing character creation, look for Aristonoe near the shrine past your home and head for the Mysterious Cave together. There will be enemies on the way so make sure to adjust your gear as you go. |

 Approach the Ancient Shrine Travel through the Mysterious Cave. As you approach the gate where the Ancient Shrine is, Undead Guardians will block your path. Defeat them to open the gate and continue down the path to the Ancient Shrine. |

 Receive the Blessing of Divine MasteryAfter crossing the bridge, speak to Aristonoe at the Ancient Shrine before receiving your blessing. Choose the first Mastery you can take for your character upon interacting with the Shrine. Afterwards, speak with Aristonoe again to continue your hunt for the gryphon. |

 Free the Village From the Gryphon Cultists
On your way to the gryphon’s nest, you will meet Pelopia. She will let you know that the village is under attack from the Gryphon Cultists. Run to the village and rescue the residents. |

 Speak to Laodamia in the Village Center
After rescuing the villagers from the clutches of the cultists, look for Laodamia near the Protu Village Shrine. While speaking with her, another group of Gryphon Worshippers will arrive. Defeat the cultists. |

 Speak to Laodamia by the Village Gate
After defeating the cultists, meet with Laodamia at the village gates. She will ask you to kill the gryphon and wipe out its nest before letting you pass through the village gates to continue your hunt. |

 Reach the Gryphon's Nest
On your way to the gryphon’s nest, you will meet Pelopia. She will let you know that the village is under attack from the Gryphon Cultists. Run to the village and rescue the residents. |

 Find the Ruins Passage
You can access the Ruins Passage by climbing the side of a mountain near the center of the map. At the entrance of the Ruins will be another Ancient Shrine. |

 Receive the Blessing From the Shrine
Approach the Shrine, and you will need to defeat a horde of enemies to get your second Mastery. Choose carefully, since this will have a big impact on how you will be playing the game moving forward. |

 Optional: Raid the Gryphon Cult Camp
On your way to the gryphon’s nest, you will be passing by the Gryphon Cult Camp; you have the option to raid that base for EXP or to go straight to the Gryphon. |

 Defeat the Gryphon (Level 6)
Climb up the Upper Cliffs to reach the Gryphon’s Nest and defeat Appollonia theTerrible. This is a fairly straightforward fight, make sure to dodge her three main wind attacks to avoid taking damage and getting slowed. |

Run From Nemesis
After defeating the Gryphon, you will be confronted with Nemesis, a goddess out to end your life. Jump down the cliff to escape her. She will be attacking you as you run. Watch the ground to see where her attacks would land and time your dodges to avoid damage. Once you reach the cave, do not focus on defeating the Stalking Shadows. Just kill the ones in your way and continue running until you reach the end of the Secluded Grotto. |

 Talk to Aristonoe
Arriving at the end of the Secluded Grotto, a boat will be waiting for you. Speak with Aristonoe, and she will give you the Areion's Charm. After you talk, she will buy time for you to escape in exchange for her life. Despite this sacrifice, Nemesis will wreck your ship, and you will be thrown into the ocean to drown. |

Appollonia's deadliest moves are their three wind attacks, a cyclone smash that is telegraphed to the player with a green field, a wind blast that activates when you make distance and a wide wind attack that can be dodged by bobbing up and down.$These attacks will not only put you at critical health, they will slow your movespeed and attack speed. Whenever Appollonia does a wind attack, keep your barrier up and save some dodges.
