Pan is located on the very last part of Pan's Sanctum, on a circular arena on top of a hill. This boss is hard to miss as they are a part of The Wild God main quest.
| Tips on Beating Pan the Wild God |
|---|
|
|
Pan will be initially easy during the first few minutes of the fight, but when their HP is reduced to less than 50%, they will start unleashing circular fire attacks that fill the entire arena.
The player can use their Barrier skill to tank up, bob up and down, use dashes to move away, or avoid Pan getting close to prevent getting one-shotted by accidentally absorbing all fireballs.

Most, if not all, of Pan’s attacks deal Fire damage, so preparing with gear that boosts Fire or Thermal Resistance is highly recommended. Increasing this will help reduce the damage from his more punishing abilities, giving you more room for error during the fight. This would allow you to focus more on positioning and timing your attacks rather than constantly healing.

Apart from your barrier, smart dodge management is key to surviving Pan’s boss fight. Conserve your dodge for critical moments, especially in later phases. It's important to use it in avoiding his Quake Ring, which covers the entire arena and deals significant damage if it hits. His Pulsing Fire Breath, however, is unavoidable, so save your dodge here and rely on your barrier instead.
Most of his other attacks can be evaded simply by running, letting you preserve your dodge. Optionally, you can equip gear that reduces dodge cooldowns, provided it doesn’t compromise your build.

A lot of Pan’s attacks require you to keep your distance to avoid taking unnecessary damage. Since Pan is a constantly moving boss with very little downtime, it’s best to rely on ranged or AoE skills as your primary means of offense if you have them.
Using ranged weapons like a bow or staff is especially effective if you're able to wield them, as they let you maintain a safe distance while staying ready to dodge his incoming attacks.
| Moves | Details and Tips |
|---|---|
| Melee Sweep Attack |
Pan will get within melee range to the player and deliver a slow sweep attack with his staff. Keep your distance and strafe left or right to avoid. |
| Homing Fireballs |
Pan will shoot four small flares that will zone in on you and follow at a medium pace until it lands a hit or expires. Make a sharp turn or dodge oppposite to the flares' direction in order to shake them off your trail. |
| Dash and Fire Trail |
Pan charges up and rushes to your last locked location, leaving a trail of fire behind him which deals damage over time if you stand in it. Keep your distance from his last locked location and retreat. The move isn’t fast enough to catch you, so skip dashing. Avoid the lingering fire trail, and since it shrinks the battlefield for a period of time, stay in open areas to maintain mobility. |
| Quake Ring |
Pan summons or jumps to an area. Upon landing, releases a quake ring that deals damage when touched by its edge. Avoid the ring's edges and dash inward to the epicenter to remain unscathed. |
| Fire Burst |
Pan slams the ground, sending sparks flying. Where these sparks land, multiple circular fire AoEs blast from the ground. The sparks typically land within Pan's radius and are evenly spaced out, so be sure to observe where they land and maneuver around them. |
| Pulsing Fire Breath |
Pan breathes waves of fire in a fan shape with a pulsing beat. As this attack follows your move and covers a large area, its best to use your barrier and mitigate the oncoming damage. |
| Circular Fire Attack |
Pan releases an onslaught of fireballs flying in an expanding motion from him toward the edges of the arena. Stick to the edges of the arena, far away from Pan. This will allow you enough room to dodge in between the gaps of the fireball assault as it expands, increasing your survivability. |
