Titan Quest 2 - All Ailments Explained

Ailments are negative status effects that both players and enemies can inflict in Titan Quest 2. See a list of all Ailments, as well as more information about them in this guide!

All Status Ailments Explained

List of Ailments in Early Access

Ailment Effect
Stagger Targets that are Staggered take a penalty to both their Attack and Movement Speed. This status effect can be caused by dealing damage to enemies with, or receiving Strike Damage.
Bleed A character or enemy suffering from Bleed takes continuous Damage-over-Time (DoT) until the effect ends. Pierce Damage causes Bleeding on both enemies and player characters.
Burn Taking Fire Damage can cause the Burning status, which will deal Damage-over-Time (DoT) to the suffering target.
Chill Cold Damage has a chance to trigger the Chilled Ailment, which both slows the target and inflicts DoT on it.
Shock Targets suffering the Shocked status take constant DoT, and have a chance to get stunned briefly when performing actions or channeling. This Ailment can be caused by Lightning Damage.
Plague Plagued targets will receive a Damage-over-Time (DoT) effect for as long as the status persists. It is caused by taking or dealing damage to enemies with Poison Damage.
Weaken A Weakened target will suffer a penalty to their damage output. This status effect is inflicted when the target takes a significant amount of damage in a short period.

As of Early Access, there are 7 different Ailments players can experience in Titan Quest 2. The original Titan Quest included more than what is listed, so it is possible that more Ailments are added in the future.

What Are Ailments?

Negative Status Effects

Character is Plagued

Ailments are negative status effects that usually occur when taking damage of a specific type. Their effects range from dealing Damage-over-Time (DoT), or inflicting crowd-control and other debuffs.

Players can see if a target is suffering from an Ailment through visual effects, such as how their character's HP Orb changes appearance when under an Ailment.

Can Be Used by Both Players and Enemies

Toxin Distillation Tooltip

Both players and enemies can infllict Ailments on the other party. Each Ailment can be stacked up to 10 times on a single target, with higher stacks producing a stronger effect.

To protect yourself from enemy Ailments, look to boost your Ailment Resistances either via Armor or Skills. Conversely, to boost your own Ailment effectiveness, look for equipment and Skills that improve your Ailment Chance.
