The easiest way to increase your damage output is to upgrade to a better weapon that has a higher attack for your current set-up whenever you find one.

You might also find equipment that provide damage bonuses through their affixes. Be sure to check what pieces you pick up and see if any work for you!

When looking to boost damage, investing in Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Damage via Equipment and Skills is another option.
Critical Hits deal more damage than a regular attack, at the cost of being chance-based. However, improving both the rate and damage of crits makes them consistent, powerful attacks when they land.

Depending on your build, certain Attributes will increase your damage more than others. A Fire-based Build, for example, can increase its damage by levelling the Might and Knowledge Attributes to increase Resolve, which in turn increases Fire Damage.

There are several Skills that directly grant damage bonuses, such as the Rogue Mastery's Deft Hands, or the Storm Mastery's Storm Nimbus. Upgrading these can help give your damage an edge in combat.

Inflicting the various Ailments on enemies can help your total damage output, as these will passively hurt enemies once applied. Try using Burn, Chill, Plague, or Shock to name a few, as these will all do Damage-over-Time (DoT)!
