The quest automatically begins as you approach the graveyard located west of The Enclave. Speak with the people chatting in front of the gate in order to gain access through the graveyard and be on your way.

1. Find the Gravekeeper

Titan Quest 2 Burial Rites Nephele Location

Find Nephele the Gravekeeper at the southwestern side of the graveyard, where they will be surrounded by attacking Skeletons. Defeat all the enemies that are terrorizing her, and ask for her help to quell the spirits.

Afterwards, follow Nephele down to the lower gate and proceed through the hero's graves lining the path to Aristomenes' Tomb.

3. Put Hyllus to Rest (Level 12)

Light the first brazier near the lower graveyard gate to awaken Hyllus, Charioteer of Aristomenes. A wave of level 12 Skeletons will appear first, which you will have to defeat. Hyllus’ shade will rise afterwards, wielding a spear that allows him to stay agile, dash across the field, and throw it from a long distance.

Since his attacks apply no status ailment, the fight is relatively easy; just avoid his long-range strikes and take advantage of openings to land your own attacks.

4. Put Otonia to Rest (Level 12)

Continue into the graveyard and head south along the forked path to find Otonia’s grave at the end. Light the brazier to summon her, but first defeat a wave of Skeletons before Otonia, Champion of Aristomenes arrives.

Wielding a battleaxe, she delivers slow yet powerful heavy attacks and occasionally spins rapidly while pursuing you. Like Hyllus, her attacks cause no afflictions and are easy to avoid due to her slowness; using decent attack speed and stun chance will let you whittle down her health quickly before she can land significant blows.

5. Put Tydeus to Rest (Level 12)

Tydeus' grave is located nearest to the tomb entrance, northeast from Otonia's grave. Light an incense at the Brazier and defeat the Skeletons that spawn before Tydeus, Tactician of Aristomenes is summoned.

Unlike the previous two, Tydeus is a mage who inflicts Water or Cold Damage through ranged AoE attacks, and will switch to quick melee dagger strikes if you get close. Focus on dodging his AoEs, striking during openings, and ensuring your Elemental resistances are sufficient against his attacks.

6. Defeat Aristomenes in Battle (Level 13)

After defeating all of Aristomenes' heroic companions, head deeper into the Graveyard Tomb and light the two braziers on either side of the great hall. This will summon Aristomenes, King of Messenia whose spirit you have to quell through battle.

During the fight, Skeletons will continually spawn and attack alongside Aristomenes until he is defeated. You can choose to ignore them and focus on him, though AoE attacks help if you get overwhelmed. Aristomenes uses only two attack patterns: a wide spin attack and a lava burst AoE. While ranged attacks are generally safer, melee can also be effective if you dodge carefully and manage your healing.

He’s relatively easy to defeat if your level matches or exceeds his, and your gear is optimized to your build. Defeating him will conclude the quest, finally granting the King’s soul peace.
