Summer Moddey is an all-arounder that can deal loads of damage while draining a percentage of the opposing carry's ATK stat and buffing herself, provided that she has most of the enemy team poisoned. Her skills revolve around her Poison status effect, so the less characters she poisons, the less effective she'll be.

［Gravekeeper’s Summer Holiday］Moddey Skill Analysis

Rest in Paradise

This is Summer Moddey's bread and butter skill, which inflicts poison on 3 random opponents (or 4 if she has her exclusive weapon), as well as steals a percentage of the poisoned enemy with the highest ATK. While the damage from the poison isn't really impressive, it's the ATK drain that makes this skill useful, as well as all the other bonuses Summer Moddey receives the more poisoned enemy units she's against.

While Summer Moddey is a fast character with a very high base SPD stat, she's not faster than Cordie, unless the Cordie isn't SPD-tuned to go first while Summer Moddey is. Because of this, Cordie can deal significant damage to Summer Moddey before she gets poisoned. In this case, Cordie would strike without Summer Moddey stealing her ATK, or reducing the damage she takes from Cordie.

Merlyn

On top of enhancing her carry's offensive capabilities, Merlyn poses a threat to Summer Moddey as she can cleanse the poison off of her carry. Summer Moddey's survivability relies on poisoning the high damage threats on the enemy team so that she'll receive significantly reduced damage from them. Merlyn's Like Master Would Do dispel prevents this from happening and will also enable your carry to make quick work of Summer Moddey.

Fenrir

Fenrir is extremely good against Summer Moddey for the same reason Merlyn is. Her Icicle Shower can cleanse both her adjacent allies of poison, enabling them to deal the full amount of their damage against Summer Moddey and quickly take her out of the fight.

A well-rounded team that does not include any SR-Limited characters. Cordie and Florence will be dealing serious damage thanks to their team's buffers doing their job. Cordie is likely to strike first, dealing a big chunk of damage if Summer Moddey is hit. Soltina would take many hits as their tank while debuffing enemies. Finally, Fenrir, Merlyn, and Soltina all have debuff cleansing skills that can cleanse poison and severely hinder Summer Moddey's effectiveness.

If you have her, Kaguya could take either Fenrir or Soltina's spot as she can further improve Cordie and Florence's damage while tanking early on and dealing good amounts of damage herself against debuffed opponents.

This team deals extremely high damage enhanced with crits and buffs. Cerberus and Florence will be your DPS carry units while Merlyn, Kaguya, and Sivi will provide your team with buffs, heals, and even more damage. Another well-rounded team with ridiculous damage potential. If you don't have some of these witches, feel free to substitute them with one of the witches in the F2P team. Cordie would be a fine substitute to Cerberus, while synergizing more with Kaguya.

Witches Not To Use Against ［Gravekeeper’s Summer Holiday］Moddey

Witch Illya

To take down Summer Moddey, you'll need to do it quick before she can poison everyone and show her true power. Witch Illya is another character that likes to be in long battles. In these long battles, Summer Moddey takes the edge over Witch Illya as she receives up to 70% less damage from opponents, as well as receives buffs to her ATK for every turn. Additionally, Witch Illya likes to be around tanks who can help prolong the fight, which will only make Summer Moddey stronger.

Fia

Another character that also likes to play it slow, Fia will only help Summer Moddey grow stronger with every round, while blocking most of the damage from her charged attacks. Of course, it still depends on whether or not Summer Moddey was able to set herself up well, especially since Fia is one of the strongest characters in the game.

Amleth

Amleth is another character that grows stronger the longer the battle goes on. Provided that Summer Moddey's setup worked and she didn't take too much damage from her unpoisoned opponents, Summer Moddey can definitely withstand Amleth's devastating last stand attacks.

Cleanse Her Poison

Dispelling her poison on as many of your witches severely hinders Summer Moddey's capabilities. When she doesn't poison anybody, Summer Moddey is average at best. Cleansing your main DPS of poison will enable them to make quick work of Summer Moddey before she becomes dangerous.

Take Her Out Quickly

Summer Moddey gets more ATK the longer the match goes on. In a late game 1v1 scenario, Summer Moddey will have a big ATK boost to her name, as well as only receiving a fraction of the damage dealt to her if the opponent is poisoned. Characters like Cordie and Florence can make quick work of Summer Moddey, provided they aren't poisoned.

Inflict Action-Hindering Debuffs

Even if she gets the perfect setup and poisons all 5 of her opponents, Summer Moddey is still vulnerable to powerful debuffs like Fainted. This will prevent her from attacking, as well as wastes a turn and lets the poison pass.
