Should You Pull for ［Attendant Tainted in Black］ Iris?

Pull for Her If You Want A Potent Secondary Attacker

Tainted Iris can not only deal significant damage to her opponents, she also has a high chance to inflict a debuff that reduces the targets' ATK. This debuff works in synergy with her own kit, as one of Tainted Iris' offensive skills deal twice as much damage to enemies with this kind of debuff. While her damage isn't as high as some of the top damage carries like Florence and Cordie, Tainted Iris' damage isn't anything to scoff at.

Try to Get Multiple Copies

Like most other witches, Tainted Iris' true power shows only after you've leveled up and awakened her multiple times. All aspects of her kit, including damage, tankiness, and supportive capabilities, are enhanced when awakened and leveled. If you do decide to pull for her, make sure to stock up on multiple copies of Tainted Iris before she's gone again. She is an SR (Limited) character, so you'll only have a small window to stock up.

Pull If Your Primary Attacker Always Gets Bursted

Not only can Tainted Iris deal good amounts of damage, she also protects her team's primary attacker by placing herself, the attacker, and the fastest teammate in a force field, which cuts the damage they receive by half when receiving damage past 20% of their max HP. With Tainted Iris on your team, your carry would very rarely get bursted in the first few rounds of the battle, even against some of the game's most potent attackers. This also makes Tainted Iris quite tanky, as foes would also have to get through both her shield and her force field.

Pull if you like her art/story

This version of Iris is from an alternate timeline. In her timeline, she wasn't as fortunate as she did not encounter the Duke of Fran after escaping the Church of Longinus. Instead, she lived a tough life of theft and extortion to provide for a group of orphans she identified with. Iris saw these orphans as family. Sadly, even these orphans turned on her and wanted to eat her heart to steal her powers for themselves. After defending herself, she finds herself transported to MementoMori's original timeline, and she meets regular Iris and the Duke of Fran.

When not to pull for ［Attendant Tainted in Black］ Iris

Don't Pull If You're Focused On PvE

Tainted Iris is great in PvP. However, if you're focused on PvE, you may want to invest in other non-limited SR characters that have proven to be SS or S-tier picks for PvE since we already have perfectly serviceable attackers such as Florence and Cordie, and you're better of fielding them in with more useful supports. Additionally, it'll be much easier investing in non-limited SR characters, as you'll have all the time in the world to stock up on copies for awakening. Tainted Iris isn't by any means useless in PvP. She's just outclassed in these game modes.

Don't Pull If You Don't Have Enough Diamonds

As with other SR (Limited) units, you'll need to spend quite a number of diamonds to be able to pull multiple copies of her. You'll also only get a small window to do so, as the banner you could get her at wouldn't be available for too long. If you do decide to pull for her, ensure that you have a good amount of diamonds to spend.
