Asahi is an Amber Soul witch who has the ability to rapidly ramp up her ATK within a short amount of turns, making her great at dealing with witches who rely on ramping damage to win battles. At the same time, she also has DEF Buffs, a 30% damage cut, and a shield that keeps her alive long enough to take down her enemies.

• ATK buffs grow rapidly and can potentially outpace the game's staple attackers early in the battle.
• Has access to a passive skill that decreases the damage she takes and raises her DEF stats as long as there are two or more Amber Soul units in the party.
• Has ACC and CRIT buffs that kick in whenever an enemy manages to outlive or evade her first active skill. 		• Minimal ACC buffs make her vulnerable to units with high EVD

Additionally, if she is enhanced with Fuurinkazan’s ［Increased ATK］ buff and its stack count is 6 or higher, this skill reactivates (1 reactivation max).
Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181)
Additionally, if she is enhanced with Fuurinkazan’s ［Increased ATK］ buff and its stack count is 12 or higher, this skill’s max number of reactivations becomes 2.

Dealing 4 physical attacks equal to 340% of her ATK to the enemy with the highest ATK.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 121)
Additionally, if the number of buffs Asahi is enhanced with at the end of her action phase is 4 or more, the number of times this skill grants the ［Increased ATK］ buff becomes 2 (buffs are counted after their turn counts are decreased).
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 201)
Additionally, if the number of buffs Asahi is enhanced with at the end of her action phase is 8 or more, the number of times this skill grants the ［Increased ATK］ buff becomes 3 (buffs are counted after their turn counts are decreased).

Asahi's two active skills and her first passive skill combine together to turn her into an early-game damage powerhouse.

Her first skill attacks enemies at random but in reality it serves to give her ACC and CRIT buffs that last 10 turns (more than enough to finish the battle), while her second active skill is the real damage dealer with the 5 attacks it deals to the enemy with the highest ATK.

To wrap this all up, her first passive skill "Furinkazan" not only gives her stackable ATK buffs, but also allows her to spam her second active skill up to 3 times, dealing high damage that ramps up faster than the game's staple attackers.

At the end of Asahi’s action phase, this skill grants her a buff that increases her ATK by 5% 1 time (stackable up to 15 times max) (cannot be dispelled).

Additionally, if there are 2 or more Amber Soul allies other than Asahi who are alive at the start of the battle, grants Asahi ［Shield］ equal to 800% of her ATK for 10 turns.

Rounding out Asahi's combat abilities is her second passive skill, Servant of the Moon, which not only cuts the damage she receives by up to 30% but also gives her DEF and P. DEF buffs as well as a shield.

The catch for the last two perks is that she has to have at least two other Amber Soul allies in the party for the effects to kick in, which means you'll need to craft a majority Amber Soul party to take full advantage of her defensive buffs.

For her many strengths, Asahi still has weaknesses in the form of three things: High-Evasion witches, DEF debuffs, and witches that can break her shield.

This is why we recommend players try out having Nina, Cordie, and Luke in their team so that Cordie debuffs Asahi's DEF (as long as she has her Unique Weapon), Luke dispels her shield, and Nina avoids her attacks while hitting her with impunity.

Players can also try out fielding limited SR units like Rusalka, who not only hits hard due to her DEF Break buffs and damage multipliers but debuffs any enemy that has lower MAG than she does (somewhat blunting Asahi's ATK power), as well as Artie, who can debuff Asahi's M. DEF (making her more vulnerable to Rusalka's attacks). Cordie can be thrown in to debuff Asahi again (and potentially act as bait for her second skill).

Another way to potentially deal with Asahi is to have A.A. no-sell her attacks with her high-damage cuts, while Artie makes her more vulnerable to magic attacks and Rusalka deals heavy damage.

The main damage dealers here would be Cordie and Nina, with Cordie doing double duty as a DEF debuffer. Apostle Rosalie will act as buffer and debuffer as well, protecting both units with her Force Field while making Asahi take more damage from them. Luke will be there to break Asahi's shield with her second active skill.

Florence may be a competent attacker, but her Soul Type is weak versus Asahi's, and she can also be outpaced in terms of damage output early on.

Ophelia's Taunt can be ignored by the targeting of Asahi's second skill, rendering her useless as an attrition unit. Once Asahi has taken on enough buffs, she or another teammate can defeat Ophelia in short order.

Both Fia and Illya (God's Curse version) need to wait for a while before their damage ramps up to a certain degree to be deadly. Asahi outpaces them in this regard and can defeat them before they get there. Fia's sole saving grace against her is her own Emerald soul type, which is strong against Asahi's Amber soul type.

Tips for Beating Asahi

Use Witches With High Evasion

With only a small ACC bonus of 10%, your best bet to defeat Asahi is to use witches with high EVD. Nina, for example, not only has high EVD but her soul type has an advantage over Asahi's. But remember that teams that use Asahi could easily pump her with ACC runes like how witches like Cordie are usually kitted out to compensate for this.

Try Taking Out Her Allies or Her Shield

To prevent Asahi from getting her defensive buffs, you could try taking out the Amber allies she has on her team first within the first turn of the battle. Without her shield and DEF buffs, Asahi will only have her Damage Cut to rely on for mitigating damage, making her easier to take down. You can also try to dispel Asahi's shield with units like Luke.

Inflict Faint and Other Movement-Hindering Debuffs

Another way to deal with Asahi is to try inflicting Faint, Sleep, and other movement-hindering debuffs so that you can prevent her from attacking while wearing down her HP.
