Is There a Demo for Age of Imprisonment?
Only Available at Physical Stores
The demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is available in select Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart stores in the United States ahead of the game's release. Stores with a playable Nintendo Switch 2 system on display are likely to have this demo available.

Those in Canada can also visit select Best Buy stores in order to try out the Age of Imprisonment demo. The following store locations should have the demo available:

Not Available at the eShop
A digital demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is currently not available at the Nintendo eShop. At the moment, you cannot download and play a demo on your personal Nintendo Switch 2 console.
May Be Downloadable in the Future
Although a demo is not made available at the eShop prior to the game's release, it is possible that it will become available in the future.
Another Switch 2 title, Donkey Kong Banaza, also had a demo available in physical stores but not the eShop prior to its release. However, once the DLC for it was released eight weeks after the game launched, a demo for the base game became downloadable from the eShop.
Age of Imprisonment may follow a similar demo release schedule. Its predecessor, Age of Calamity, has a demo available in the eShop, so it is likely that Age of Imprisonment will have a demo become available as well.

What Can You Do in the Demo?
Play as Zelda
The first character you can play as in the demo is Zelda. However, you may also be able to unlock more characters such as Rauru and Mineru if you make the most of your available time.
Use Zonai Devices
In the demo, you are also given the opportunity to try out Zonai Devices. Other than attacking regularly, you can use them in order to defeat enemies.
Go Through the Depths
The level available in the demo takes place in the depths of Hyrule, the dark underground area introduced in Tears of the Kingdom. You can battle enemies found in the depths such as the Little Frox and even a Frox boss.
10-Minute Limit
You can only play the in-store demo for a maximum of 10 minutes. The game will automatically stop your progress and reset once this time limit has been reached.
