Pre-Order Age of Imprisonment

To preload Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, it's required that you pre-order the game; otherwise, this option will not be available for you. To pre-order, simply head to the Nintendo eShop with the account that you're buying the game for.

Search for and head to Age of Imprisonment's page. Click the big red button that says Continue, enter your details, and confirm to purchase the game.

Download After Purchasing

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment Download Started

Once you have pre-ordered the game, you'll now have the option to pre-download the game. Simply choose that option, and the game will start downloading in your HOME menu screen.

If you have a slow internet connection and you think the download for the game will take a long time, simply let your Switch 2 go into sleep mode, and it should continue downloading. Just make sure to have your switch docked to avoid getting a low battery.
