What are Material Sensor Quests?

The Material and Quest Sensors are unlocked by completing the Quest, A Brand-New Feature!. These allow you to track the Materials and Enemies needed to complete other Quests or for other purposes.

Doing the rest of the Material Sensor Quests increases the capacity of the Sensors, allowing you to track up to 10 Materials and Quests at the same time.

The upgrades from the Material Sensor Quests apply to the Quest Sensor as well. Despite having different increments on the second and third Quests, the maximum capacity of the Quest Sensor can also reach up to 10 slots.
