Rauru |
DPS | Light element is equally effective against all enemies, not requiring elemental synergies and making gameplay straightforward. Attack combos are super effective against mobs, especially the X Hold attack strings and sweeping (YX) combos. Most Sync Strikes have high-damage windows and consecutive strikes. |
Mineru |
Crowd Control | Has constructs with wide-hitting attacks, dealing with mobs easily, especially the Y + X attack string where she summons a vehicle. Seamless usage of Zonai Devices can easily smash foes and pull off elemental chains. Sync Strikes syngergize with other characters such as Rauru or Zelda and provides some long break-off time where you can reposition after. |
Qia |
DPS (Flex Slot) |
One of the fastest characters in the game, more so with movement bonus from camps, allowing her to cover areas quickly. Attack combos and strings able to sweep mobs quickly or clear stragglers. Using Hydrant + Freeze Emitter between combos can render enemies and even bosses immobile until they're smashed or beaten and can clear sludge. |
The optimal mob clearing setup we have tested includes the usage of Rauru, Mineru and Qia as your characters. Each of them covering different bases you will want to have when trying to clear mobs in stages.
Rauru has extremely powerful combo strings in his attack, paired with sweeping Area-of-Effect strikes and having the Light element on his attacks, making his gameplay pretty straightforward. He can be joined with Mineru and Qia, who has some of the best mob-clearing attacks in-game due to their speed.

Zelda | Has powerful last-combo attack strings that sweeps mobs and allows spacing for the character to attack more. Light element is equally effective against all units, not requiring elemental synergies and making gameplay straightforward. Most Sync Strikes have high-damage windows and flexible uses. |
Mysterious Construct - One-Handed | Integrated Zonai Device combos occupies a wide range that can wipe out mobs instantly. Has powerful sweeping combos paired with the Wind element, controlling mobs and giving leeway for more attacks. Excellent variety of attack moves that can be used to your advantage. |

Ardi |
DPS | Lightning element has excellent synergy with most elements especially when applied with Water. Attack combos and skills are quick and great against Dangerous Enemies Most Sync Strikes apply Lightning with the Lightning Strikes being deployed. |
Calamo |
Element Application | Elemental Attacks can be applied and executed with no setup necessary. Great elemental damage that can be used to exploit enemy Weak-Point Gauges or apply to mobs and create Elemental Chains. Sync Strikes also provide elemental effects on random. |
Agraston |
Element Application (Flex Slot) | Primarily used to apply elemental attacks on targets, of which they are excellent. Synergizes with Elemental Chain attacks well, allowing for unique effects such as fire tornados. |
For Elementals, we advise using a team composed of characters that have good synergy with elements or can apply them with minimal effort, that is, Ardi, Calamo and Agraston. These characters will create elemental attacks that can whittle Dangerous Enemies down quickly.
Ardi has extremely good damage and reliable speed while having her own lightning skills, which is perfect for making her the main character of this setup. Pair this with Calamo and Agraston's fast application of other elements to get quick Elemental Chains.
