DLC Content and Release Date

Two Free DLC Updates Announced

Two free DLC updates have been officially announced for the game under Hyrule Warriors' Official JP Page. These updates were announced on the game's release day but will be implemented later on.

First Free Update on November 26

Two New Weapons in Free DLC 1Version 1.0.2 Update Contents
1. Six new quests
2. Eleven new challenges
3. Two new weapons
4. Three new enemies
5. Two new materials
6. New Sync Strike for Zelda and Calamo

The first free content update for Age of Imprisonment has been made available on November 26, 2025 (November 27 in Japan). This update introduces new quests and new challenges where you can obtain two new weapons. These challenges have a high recommended level, so you may only be able to access them in the post-game after finishing the main story.

A new unique Sync Strike attack is also be available for the Zelda and Calamo sync pair. You will need to complete new Zelda quest, Answering the Call, in order to unlock this.

How to Download the DLC

Software Update in Options

Since the DLC updates are confirmed to be free, you will only need to update the game once the updates are available in order to enjoy the new content. You will not need to purchase anything from the eShop.

A prompt to download the update should automatically pop up upon booting up the game, but you can also update the game by pressing the Plus (+) button on the Switch 2 Home screen while highlighting the Age of Imprisonment game to access the game's Options.
