You can perform Fuse Attacks by assigning the ability to one of your Special Actions in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Learn more about how to perform, unlock, and improve Fuse Attacks, as well as what monster parts you can use to perform them.

How to Do Fuse Attacks

Assign a Fuse Attack to One of Your Special Actions

NSW - Dpad Right Zonai Device Menu

You will need to assign a Fuse Attack to one of your Special Actions by opening up the Zonai Devices menu using the Left D-pad button. From there, select which Material will be used to perform the Fuse Attack of your choice.

How to Use Special Attacks

Press the Designated Button of the Fuse Attack

Once you've assigned a Fuse Attack to one of your Special Actions, hold the ZR button to open up the Special Actions menu and press the designated button to perform a Fuse Attack during battle.

Fuse Attacks will require you to have Monster Parts in your inventory so that you can assign them to your Special Actions. Do note that not all Monster Parts can be used for Fuse Attacks, and only some of them can employ the ability.

For Fuse Attacks that can be done using multiple Monster Parts, the strongest Monster Part will automatically be used first to perform the attack. The weaker ones will only be used once you run out of the stronger parts.

The Quests listed above can unlock the Fuse Attack ability for some characters. Once the quest has been completed, you can perform the Fuse Attack during battle.

The characters listed above are those that can equip different weapons of the same weapon type, meaning that those with exclusive weapons, such as Zelda or Rauru, do not have access to Fuse Attacks.

Additionally, a quest will not be required for completion to unlock the Fuse Attack for the Mysterious Construct, as it can already use it by default.

Making the Most of Materials Unlocked: After completing The Cutting Edge of Research challenge
Reward: Increased Fuse-Attack Damage
Fuse Attack Frenzy Unlocked: After completing Stronger Together quest
Reward: Increased Fuse-Attack Damage

You can also enhance your Fuse Attacks by completing certain Improve All Allies Quests so that you'll acquire specific buffs such as reduced cooldown and increased damage for the Fuse Attacks of all your characters.
