The list above shows all the available Weapon Seals you can unlock when enhancing your weapons by visiting the Weapons Research Base and using Zonaite Steel in your inventory.
Some weapon seals have upgraded versions, illustrated by a plus sign (+) or double plus signs (++) on their icon. Seals with plus signs have more potent effects.

A weapon can unlock a weapon art upon reaching level 7. Instead of Zonaite Steel, you will need specific materials in order to unlock the weapon art bonus.
You can determine which weapon art you'll be unlocking by checking the materials in the table above.

Weapon seals can be attached at the Weapons Research Base. This is a service that can be unlocked early on in the game upon completing the Enhance Our Weapons quest and can be upgraded by completing Improve Services quests.
To add a seal to a weapon, select Enhance Weapons at the Weapons Research Base, then select the character whose weapon you want to upgrade. Upon selecting the character and their weapon, you will be shown all of the Zonaite Steel that you can use on the weapon.

In order to add a seal to your weapon, you need to use a Zonaite Steel with a seal attached onto it. Take note that if you select multiple Zonaite Steel with seals, only one of them can be attached unless your weapon has already leveled up and unlocked more slots.
Check the right side of the screen, below the weapon name, to see which seals will be added with your Zonaite Steel selection.
If the seal slots for the weapon have been filled or are not yet unlocked, you will not be able to attach a seal to it. Level up your weapons in order to get more seal slots.
Weapon Upgrade Guide: How to Enhance Weapons

Once your weapon reaches level 7, you unlock the weapon art slot on the weapon. Weapon arts are fixed for all characters that cannot change their weapon. However, weapon arts for non-unique weapons are random and may also generate the weapon art of a unique weapon.
Weapon arts have a yellow border around their icon and can be found on the third slot in the weapon's information. These are unlocked by using materials instead of Zonaite Steel.

These weapon arts are guaranteed for the corresponding unique weapon. However, these weapon arts are not exclusive to them and may also be found on other weapons.

Additional features will be added to the Weapons Research Base upon completing certain Improve Services quests. Completing A Weapon Reborn unlocks the ability to remove seals, while Studying Weapons unlocks the ability to change weapon arts.
List of All Improve Services Quests

If you don't like a seal you've added onto a weapon, you can remove it at the Weapons Research Base after you complete the A Weapon Reborn quest. Removing seals require a lot of materials and Rupees, so it's best to only use this feature for characters who can't change their weapons.
Once a seal has been removed from a weapon, the slot opens up again. You can then add a new seal to it by enhancing the weapon with a Zonaite Steel with a seal.

In the post-game, you can unlock the feature to change the weapon art on a weapon. Changing weapon arts requires materials and Rupees, and you can only do this on weapons that have already unlocked an art.
A weapon that is not at least level 7 and has not been infused with materials for its weapon art cannot be affected by the Change Weapon Arts function.

Weapon Seals are specific buffs that you can use to enhance your weapons through Zonaite Steel. The Zonaite Seal you choose for your upgrades will determine which Seals will be embedded on your weapon.
