
You cannot turn off the autosave function in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Learn more about the autosave function, how it works, and whether you can have multiple save files in the game.

There is currently no available method to turn off the autosave function in the game. The game will have it as a default function, which will activate once you've accessed the map.

You can try manually saving your game by pressing the minus button on your controller. Do note that you can only save while you're on the Hyrule map menu, and that saving won't be available during battle.

The game will activate the autosave function once you've accessed the map after completing or exiting a Quest or Challenge in the game.

You will know if the autosave function is activated when a blank screen with a saving icon appears on the map. The saving icon will be rotating in place, which shows that the saving process is ongoing.

Age of Imprisonment does not have multiple save files, which means that you can only have one save file for your Nintendo Switch account.
You can start a new save file by instead making a new profile on your current Nintendo Switch console, allowing you to play the game in its entirety.
