Exploiting enemies with an element they are weak against will also bring them down faster. You can check an enemy's Weak-Point Gauge to see if they're imbued with an element. You will also know if an enemy has a particular element if it's in their name, such as Fire-Breath Lizalfos, Ice Moblin, or Electric Boss Bokoblin.

Sludge-covered and armored enemies will not have different names, but you will be able to see that they have some sort of protective covering over them. Depleting their Weak-Point Gauge will remove this covering, leaving them vulnerable for a period of time.

Previously Identified Weaknesses are Shown

Once discovered, elemental weaknesses will appear below a boss's name when you hold the R button to activate a skill. Take advantage of this and use elemental attacks to bring their Weak-Point Gauge down!

Do Elemental Chain Attacks to Do More Damage

Aside from this, you can also chain your elemental attacks and create reactions that causes more damage to enemies. Make sure to use of this in later stages as more enemies have elemental counters there.

Take note of the enemy's weakness via their Weak-Point Gauge and use an elemental attack reflective of their weakness to deal more damage!
