How to Get

Kill Grassghoul Decapods or Deadleaf Slaters Before Chapter 3

Small Kemono Carapaces can be obtained by killing and finishing off Grassghoul Decapods and Deadleaf Slaters before you reach Chapter 3 of the Main Story. If you find yourself beyond this point already, simply switch back to Chapter 2 via the Main Map Screen.

Use the Detailed Map to Find Small Kemono Locations

Since the amount of Small Kemonos that spawn vary by map instance, players will need to use their own Detailed Map View to track the locations of ones they want to hunt.

To track Small Kemono, open up the Detailed Map and switch to the Small Kemono Filter at the bottom left of the map screen. Hover over any of the circular icons on the map to see the Kemono name.

How to Use

Used in Weapon and Armor Crafting

Small Kemono Carapace can be used to craft and upgrade specific weapons. Weapon crafting and upgrade unlocks once you reach Chapter 2.
