Strategy
With a thick outer skin of what seems like solid rock, normal attacks have no impact on this massive bear at all. So it's essential to identify the weak points dotted over its body and work at incapacitating the beast there. When angered, it will expose another weak point around its head. With a skilled aim, that's the part to focus on if you want to turn the dream of bringing this giant down into a reality.

How to Beat Earthbreaker

Earthbreaker Tips and Strategies

Target the Glowing Weak Points

Wild Hearts - Target the Glowing Weak Points
For the first phase of the Earthbreaker fight, Natsume provides you with a Cannon, which you can use to hit the massive kemono's glowing weak points. Prioritize dealing damage and breaking these weak points to progress the fight.

Stay Alert for Underground Attacks

Wild Hearts - Stay Alert for Underground Attacks (Earthbreaker)
While firing at the Earthbreaker's weak points, it can sometimes launch underground attacks, signified by the sound of rumbling earth beneath your feet. Stay alert for these attacks and quickly sidestep or evade away from their path to avoid getting hurt.

Reposition to Better Aiming Angles

Wild Hearts - Reposition to Better Aiming Angles
As the fight progresses, Nobumitsu will tell you to "attack it from the bamboo groves." Utilize the nearby Flying Vine Karakuri to quickly reposition to that area and gain a better angle for firing at the Earthbreaker's weak points.

Attack the Arms at Nanohana Hill

Wild Hearts - Attack the Arms at Nanohana Hill
When the Earthbreaker reaches Nanohana Hill, you will have to use your currently-equipped weapon and your plethora of Karakuri to take down the kemono. Prioritize dodging its attacks using Spring Karakuri and counterattack by dealing damage to its vulnerable arms when they're open.

Breaking both arms will cause the Earthbreaker to drop its head on the ground. Deal as much damage as you can to the Earthbreaker's head and land a Final Blow to complete the fight.
