How to Get Flash of Inspiration in Wild Hearts

Flash of Inspiration Conditions

To get Flashes of Inspiration for unlocking Fusion Karakuri, certain conditions must be met for the Flash of Inspiration to appear during a hunt.

Have Specific Basic Karakuri Unlocked and Equipped

Wild Hearts - Flash of Inspiration: Karakuri Menu

Players need to unlock specific Basic Karakuri which will serve as a foundation for the Fusion Karakuri. Players can learn which Basic Karakuri is needed when hovering in the Karakuri Menu.

Fusion Karakuri that needs to be unlocked via Flash of Inspiration will have an icon of a Specific Kemono and a list of Basic Karakuri that needs to be equipped.

Have At Least 15 or More Karakuri Threads

Players need to have more than 15 Karakuri Threads while on a hunt to successfully complete a Flash of Inspiration. Running out of Karakuri Threads during a Flash of Inspiration cancels it and players may need to restart a hunt to get a Flash of Inspiration again.

Hunt Specific Kemono

Players can learn which Kemono to hunt to get a Flash of Inspiration by hovering in the Karakuri Menu; locked Fusion Karakuri that needs a Flash of Inspiration has a Kemono icon for Kemono that has been discovered by players, while locked Fusion Karakuri that needs a Flash of Inspiration has a big question mark for Kemono that has not been discovered by players. Flashes of inspiration also appear during co-op hunt as long as the conditions are met.

Kemono Must Be in a Specific State or Moveset

Some Flashes of Inspiration only appear when a Kemono is in a specific state or is about to do a move. An example of this is the Kingtusk's charge attack and the Dreadclaw's flying state.
